What is BUTI Yoga?

So there’s this lady with the raddest name, Bizzie Gold. One day she was like, “I want to create something so cool that people will flock to studios".” And she did.

In her day job she was a celebrity trainer, so it didn’t take much for her to launch full throttle.

Once she had the grip of celebrities—which is unfortunately the level of exposure that we need now days—she was a hit!

BUTI, in Marathi, means “a cure obtained by hidden means.” It’s been said that Bizzie created this practice in an attempt to tap into the body’s subconscious, unlocking a powerful reserve of energy and, ultimately, helping practitioners to find their true potential. That may or may not be true—you have to experience it to decide for yourself!!

Per Bizzie: “We find that through the practice of Buti which incorporates spiral movements and intense shaking and vibration... students quickly start to feel energized about their life, their goals in life, and of course the look and function of their body.”

Is that description sensationalized? Probably! Lady’s trying to launch her brand! However, even if you experience 10% of that energy, you’re in for a good time.

Join Anne Thursdays at 5:30pm for a dance party meets yoga. And even if it’s not an overhaul of spiritual experience, you will at least feel great shimmying, shaking, and sweating your way through class.
