Decorative Mexican Tin Frames
Suggested Donation $11 (plus $5 if you’d like us to print your photo)
This festive workshop invites participants to dive into hojalata, the playful craft of shaping and decorating recycled metal. Instructor Dora Bean shares the tin-tooling tricks she learned growing up in New Mexico, guiding everyone in creating colorful, textured picture frames that shine with handmade charm.
All supplies and snacks are included, but participants are welcome to bring fabric scraps, beads, or other crafting scraps they would like to incorporate into their gift.
Participants are welcome to bring their own photo, and for an additional $5, images emailed to dorarosebean@gmail.com by noon on Saturday, 12/13 can be printed in advance. Everyone leaves with a heartfelt, gift-ready frame that’s as fun to make as it is to give!
