Kosha & Satipatthana: Combining Yoga Asana & Buddhist Mindfulness Practices
Join Eric (he/him) for this donation-based four week series that will explore the teachings of the Koshas (layers) from the Yogic tradition and the Satipatthana (Four Foundations of Mindfulness) from the Buddhist tradition. Each class will include a talk highlighting common elements in these two wisdom traditions, a gentle asana practice, guided mindfulness meditation, and time for conversation and reflection.
Students are welcome to drop-in for any of these, yet highly encouraged to especially attend the first session, as that will cover fundamental concepts that are integral to the rest of the series.
Since this class will be during prime dinner hours, you are welcome to bring a snack for the last part of class or enjoy a meal before class. The asana section of class will be light movement, nothing vigorous.
